Your application documents are still the be-all and end-all of the application process, even though digitalization and easy-apply options on LinkedIn have greatly influenced this process. Your documents convey a first impression to a company. It is, therefore, vital to structure them carefully and make them appear professional.

When we talk about a complete application dossier, we mean the following documents:

• Letter of motivation, motivational letter or cover letter
• CV or resume
• Copies of your school and university certificates
• Copies of your work references, documentation about training courses and similar activities listed in your CV.

Documents are always uploaded or sent in PDF format. Never send WORD documents because their formatting can change considerably in another system. Documents should always contain your name in the file name (e.g., not just “CV 2022” but “CV_MMustermann_2022”).
