Networking

On the path to your next job, almost everyone comes across the term “networking”. We explain what it means and how you can use networking to improve your everyday life and job search.

Networking refers to building and maintaining a network of relationships among a group of people who know and exchange information with one another. Sometimes, these people support each other in their careers or provide one another with other benefits. However, contrary to what many people think, networking is not limited to online platforms. Your relatives, circle of friends, fellow students or friends from your sports club all form networks that you are part of and can and should use. Networking is not limited to people you already know, but also includes those you reach and influence through your content, for example on social media. This also includes recruiters and potential future managers.
