Career Coaching for Young Alumni
Did you complete your studies at the ZHAW School of Management and Law less than three years ago and need support with career-related questions?
- Would you like to assess your current situation and identify your next career steps based on your interests, skills and values?
- Are you facing a career decision and would like to develop a sound basis for making that decision together with an advisor?
- Are you looking for a new position and need support with your positioning or the application process?
During career coaching, the Career Services SML advisory team supports you in reflecting on your situation, exploring options and planning specific next steps – in a focused, personal and collaborative manner.
Career coaching is a one-time consultation designed for BSc and MSc graduates of the ZHAW School of Management and Law up to three years after graduation.
The content is flexible and tailored to your questions and individual situation.
Preparation and Commitment
To make the best possible use of the coaching appointment, we ask you to prepare in advance. The following documents must be submitted online no later than one week before the appointment:
- Your central topic or concern for the consultation – please prioritise your topic so that we can work on it specifically and effectively during the appointment
- Current CV
- The code you generated for your personal evaluation report using the ZHAW SML Alumni Career Profiler. The ZHAW SML Alumni Career Profiler is a survey in which you reflect on your interests, skills and values (approximately 20 minutes).
The advisor will download your individual evaluation report to prepare for the coaching session. The advisors undertake to maintain confidentiality regarding the content of the evaluation report and all topics discussed during the career coaching session.
We provide advice exclusively on the basis of these documents. The appointment cannot take place if the required documents have not been submitted.
Cost
CHF 86.– incl. VAT
Conditions
- The consultation lasts 55 minutes and can be booked once per calendar year and person.
- The success of the consultation largely depends on your active participation.
- All topics discussed and submitted documents will be treated confidentially. The advisor is bound by confidentiality.
- The consultation is available only to BSc and MSc graduates of the ZHAW School of Management and Law for up to three years after graduation.
- Eligibility for the service will be checked after registration.
- The consultation can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours in advance. After this deadline, the full amount will be charged.
Please note: The full range of Career Services SML services is available free of charge for up to 6 months after graduation for BSc and MSc alumni. If you graduated less than six months ago, please book the services for students or contact career.sml@zhaw.ch to arrange a consultation appointment.
